"We Love You! A Bushel and a Peck" Gathering

I was asked to coordinate a women's gathering for our church where we were to get to know each other better during the month of September. I wanted to have an apple theme so I based it on the song from the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls "A Bushel and a Peck" I wanted a pop of color for the theme and found adorable checkered tablecloths that contrasted my fall colors. I pulled out my galvanized metal lanterns and accessories to compliment the theme. For food I served a caramel apple dip bar with all the trimmings and made homemade apple crisp served a la mode with vanilla bean ice cream! We played a fun friend shipping get to know you game based off the game "speed dating". It was so much fun! Hope this helps you in some way with your future activity planning!
