Life can be defined BEFORE and AFTER major events happens in ones life. As you know
our oldest daughter Hailey (who was expecting her third baby) passed away recently during emergency surgery from blood clots in her lungs. Losing both Hailey and this precious grand baby has shattered my heart, but the Lord has been mending each piece day by day. What a blessing to know I will see Hailey and this beautiful little girl again because of Gods Plan of Salvation and because our Savior Jesus Christ overcame death for all of us.
Through these challenges, we have had such an outpouring of love and kindness from so many people near and far! If you have had the experience of losing someone, you know how at the time of grieving and loss, the buoyancy of others through Christlike love and service that we are given can sustain us through the grief and beyond.
We had countless meals, flowers, blankets, gifts, and cards that wrapped us in the arms of love.
I wanted to share some of the thoughtful things that were gifted to us so that if you are in a situation where you have family or friends who have lost someone, you can have ideas of what might lift their spirits like they lifted mine and our family.
Heart shaped basket filled with little packages of Kleenex Tissues and Peppermints
My friend made our entire family "Hailey" name sake bracelets and we all wear them every day!
We had some beautiful artwork made of Hailey from friends that we framed and cherish!
My cousin gave me a beautiful piece of art titled “She Will Find What is Lost” by contemporary artist Brian Kershisnik depicting angels that will assist and bless us.
Some friends gave me a spa certificate and all the cute self care items! What a great idea!
Another friend continued to bring meals for over 2 months because she felt God kept telling her to! That was a beautiful gift!
Another friend sent us a photo of Hailey, Craig and I at a luncheon we went to and she had taken a photo of the three of us! What a treasure! She also gave me a journal and I’m so grateful for that!
A friend of ours planted some beautiful roses in a pot that he said we could move anywhere with us! They’re our Hailey roses!
Another friend of mine had custom necklaces made that had Haileys fingerprint and then add a jewel to the necklace. They are so meaningful to us.
My son in laws family came to our home and prepared the most beautiful dinner for us. What a beautiful service that they gave us! We felt so loved.
We had some gift cards to local restaurant's given to us that made it easy for us when the dust settled and I didn't feel like cooking.
Best Books I found for my grandsons and children's books that were given to us.
Because of Jesus . This book I actually found and it was an answer to prayer since I was searching for the perfect book to give to my grandsons who lost their Mommy. This book helps them realize that Jesus felt all the feelings they (and I ) were feeling and because of Him, they will see their Mommy again. Out of all the books I've read about grieving for children, this tops them all!
My Yellow Balloon Book this is a beautiful book that one of Haileys best friends gave to us and my grandsons.
The Invisible String Book. Mandi found this one for Haileys boys.
Badgers Parting Gifts My dear friend gave this book to our family.
We are so grateful for the continuous outpouring of love and concern for our family! We love you all!
